Our story
We built the place
we wantedto be regulars at.
A small Chicago studio, founded in 2021, with two homes and one quiet obsession with beautiful hands, eyes, and skin.

Effy opened the Clark Street studio in 2021 and still trains every new artist personally.
A note from the studio
We started Pink Mi Up to slow the salon experience back down.
Pink Mi Up opened in 2021 with a small team and a clear idea: that getting your nails, lashes, or skin done shouldn’t feel like a transaction. It should feel like the best part of your week.
A few years and one second studio later, the standards have stayed the same. Tools sanitized between every guest. Hand work, not rush work. The kind of welcome that makes you book again before you leave.
Thank you for letting us slow down with you.
What we’re about
Four small
non-negotiables.
Slow
We don’t rush a set.
Every service gets the time it actually needs. We’d rather have you stay a little longer than leave with anything less than right.
Clean
Tools sanitized between every guest.
Single-use where it matters, autoclaved where it can be. We’ll happily walk you through any product or tool we use.
Honest
If it’s not your day, we’ll say so.
Brittle nails, recent lifts, sensitive skin: we’ll tell you what’s actually possible, even if it costs us the upsell.
Local
Built in Chicago, for Chicago.
We’re a small, locally-owned studio with two homes in the city, and our community shows up for us. We try to show up right back.
From the chair
A handful of looks we’ve been proud of.
